Nison, Steve Nison was instrumental in bringing critical Eastern trading concepts to the West. Candlestick charts were originally plotted painstakingly by hand around 300 years ago. This labour intensive step, as well as the fact that many Japanese traders could not release their trading methods due to language barriers, meant that the use of the candle was not widespread until recent times.Nison managed to get many of the original Japanese candlestick transcripts translated, and is therefore largely responsible for our knowledge about many candlestick patterns.
