Lefevre, Edwin This book was first published in 1923 and stands as testimony to the concept that there is nothing new in the markets. It is a biography of a terrific trader, Jesse Livermore, who built his fortune and lost it several times. Jesse states that “There isn’t a man in Wall Street who has not lost money trying to make the market pay for an automobile or a motor boat. I think the resolve to induce the stock market to act as a fairy godmother is the busiest and most persistent”. When we trade in this deprived/depraved state of mind, we hope, we gamble, and we run much greater risks than if we were speculating dispassionately. This certainly echoes my own experiences. This book reads as if it was a novel. Order Online via the 'Trading Game' secure website. |
